We always have lunch in the castle, a tradition that started before it was character dining. My girls liked it when they were younger as it is princesses. Beautiful photos with Cinderella included in a presentation pack. We have also had character breakfasts at Tusker House in AK but not masses of time individually but it is usually fun with music and most times the kids are up doing the conga with the characters.
We had breakfast at the Crystal Palace a couple of years ago with the characters from Winnie the Pooh, which the boys we were with loved.
