Why St Patricks Day of Course on the 17th. If you are still there wear something green have a glass of Guinness and have a fantastic day.

We fly out on 3rd March 05 and as far as I can tell the only things going on are Daytona Bike week and the possibility of a shuttle launch. [rasta]

It is a holiday in Canada. I have repeat guests for 12 days every middle of March for their Winter break.

I am going to Orlando on the 21st May 2005. Is this Armed forces day?
We've booked Discovery Cove for over Memrial weekend. Is it really busy that weekend are we best avoiding the major parks for those few days? This forum is becoming addictive[msntongue][msntongue]

Armed Forces day is not a holiday you have to worry about. Memorial Day weekend is a big holiday weekend, and the parks will likely be crowded.

When are US kids off school in summer. We are going from august 6 to 20th. Someone told me that only one of the weeks was a summer holiday for kids in the states.

There are 2 different school systems in America. One whereby they have time off after every couple of months and therefore a shorter summer break and the other whereby they are in school all year and have a long summer break. This is the general idea from the kids I used to look after in Texas. It also depends on which state etc. August is always going to be busy due to it being full of the British on holiday!

Most kids in the Northeast are off the months of July and August. The Southern states tend to be off June and July, and go back early
to mid August. Sorry, the parks are likely to be busy in August.

Thanks all for the reply
I had been told that the second two weeks in March was Spring Bank
holidays but from the replies it doesn't seem so
It now makes it a little easier to plan for the Parks
Thanks
