Ok guys, enoughs, enough...... everyone gets one vote, what is your best / favourite restaurant overall?, and yes I know there's a list a mile long, but please consider: value, quality, fun factor, staff, location, availibitlity, selection, ambience, and anything else ou like, please give one choice and a brief explaination, I'll reveal mine later on in the week.

Happy choosing !!! [msnsmile2] [drinkpepsi]

TONY ROMAS will always be a hot favourite for us, it was one of the first restaurants we visited in Orlando and we always have to go back for the baby back ribs.[msntongue][msnsmile]

Orlando Ale House ! Great food, good atmosphere, pool darts etc. to keep the kids occupied - the chicken zingers are to die for......... and VERY reasonably priced.

Texas De Brazil. Different from the norm, more expensive but the service and food is absolutely excellent. Might have to have another visit this week[msnsmile2]

Texas De Brazil is our favourite at the moment
We went for the first time in June
Everytime we go to Florida we try two different restaurants
We also was very impressed, service was excellent
couldn't fault anything although must add, expensive compared too many
Ideal for a treat, or for a thank you

I like Bahama Breeze at the moment, mainly due to the seafood & the cocktails.

I get bored quickly so will be looking for new places to try in a few weeks - where is Texas De Brazil?

Tough question[msnscared]
Although it depends on the type of evening you want, whether there is just the two of us or if we have the kids with us as well as loads of other factors.

I think I'd plump for Carrabba's as our family's favourite.

with the kids
Race Rock
food was great, larged no very large portions, the staff were amazingly friendly with us and the kids, coin machines all over/videos being played up high of various car/bikes/big foots style things, easy to get to!, everyone has seen the big foot vehicle outside !! (i think)
selection for us were very good, its fun menus, and not too pricey!! thats my opinion!![beer]

I think my "new" hot tip would be Red Lobster, fabulous food, great value, good variation on menu (not just seafood), great atmosphere, plenty of locations, 7/10 for kids I would say, and the staff treated us like we were old friends(on our first visit)[msnsmile2]

Our favourite is the Rainforest Cafe (yes I know its a bit corny![msnwink])

The food is lovely and it is great for kids too. Our 9 year old son loves eating in the jungle ![clap][clap]

I also vote for Bahama Breeze, you can arrive early sit outside listen to the music with a gin & tonic and then the variety on the menu is extensive, steak, ribs, loads of fish...gosh I am now hungry, followed by Outback, Carabbas, and Olive Garden.

Olive Garden has various branches. Main three I know are :
1) On the 192 near Poinciana Blvd (often a lengthy wait for a table here)
2) Sand Lake Rd/ Orange Blossom Trail intersection (Nr. Florida Mall)
3) International Drive ( Near Orange Convention Centre)

Have been to Tony Romas on 192, and Bahama Breeze near Premium Outlets Mall next to 535. Also a good one at Tampa. just off Interstate (I75?)

Ok at promised my favourite place to eat is the Sci-Fi Diner, ok ok, I know it's corny and yes a bit camp, but it's a welcome change to the average restaurants, it's a treat too, not somewhere you can eat every night of the week, but a one off per holiday maybe.

If you haven't checked it out yet, go on give it a go !

I know it's breaking the rule but can I have two. Fulton's Crab House for seafood and Charley's Steak House for, well, steaks. It's a struggle to choose between them as they are both fabulous and the choice really depends on what you want to eat.

If I had to pick one and one only I think I would come down on the side of Fulton's as really good seafood restaurants are harder to come by than really good steaks. Just. They also have the wonderful ambiance on the old paddle steamer and it's great to be able to walk around DD after the meal instead of just jumping straight into a car.

Is Carrabas the one where you get to sit at the 'bar'' and watch (and sample) all the cooking??
If so, that's my favourite ( the cheese ravioli is the best I've tasted )
....altho' I do like the Red Lobster
...and I don't think the kids will ever want to leave the villa again now they know that the Outback does take out[msnwink]
.....and any mention of cocktails and I'm drawn ( ie Bahama Breeze)
Ooops! was it supposed to be just one[msnembarrased][msnembarrased]

hi everyone

can someone tell me how expensive is the texasdebrazil. We are planning to go for my parents 50th Anniversary. We did think of the Grand Floridan but that looks too much for my parents. I would like some type of idea if possible. A family of 7 with a child of 6 in the party.

appreciate any approximate ideas if possible please

thanks rebekah[msnwink]

I agree Tony Romas - you just have to try the onion ring pie - its bizzare.

There is also a lovely resturant at Disney Boardwalk, cant remember the name but its something to do with fishing. If you get there later, you eat "al fresco" whilst watching the disney fireworks - there meatloaf is great !!

Puccinos on the 192

Nice authentic Italian - word of warning though I would not bother buying the photo's that they take of you at the table although they look good it is actually on PAPER.

Food makes up for it though!! and the service

Tony Roma's for the ribs!
Bahama Breeze for somewhere a bit more dressy!
JT's Prime Time on the 192 is for casual family dining and serves excellent steaks!

We are willing to give anywhere a try and we've never been disappointed eating out yet in Florida

Hard decision but we tried Macaroni Grill (think that`s how you spell it)in May for the first time and it was Fantastic. Best pasta I have ever tasted and the wine was good to.

Too many to have one.

Not the best but an absolute must for my wife and I whenever we are in Florida is a visit to Don Pablo's Mexican Kitchen. Food is always good but the Sangria and the Margaritas (including the 27 oz Giant Margatina) are awesome. We have visited the branches on I-Drive, Clearwater and Tampa (outside Busch Gardens)

OK nobody has mentioned these two yet.

The food in Cinderellas Castle at Magic Kingdom is out of this world, but my absolute favourite I think has to be Cafe TuTu Tango on I-Drive.

So much to look at as well as amazing food.
