If you're ready for it - here is some more
Wednesday 2nd
The sun was shining this morning – so with a smile on our faces we set off to Siesta Key – I had a full breakfast this morning [8D]
As I’d missed my walk this morning we walked around the village and carrying on from yesterday did a little shopping followed by a walk on the beach. I love this beach, such gorgeous soft white sand, so peaceful. Hope all the locals know how lucky they are, I want to live here…… [^]
Back home and got settled down for a few hours by the pool – still a bit cloudy, but dry and hot and the pool was fairly quiet. Too full for lunch so settled for a large bowl of ice cream with m&m sprinkles
Went back to St Armands tonight to buy some of the things we’d seen on Monday before eating at the Outback, starter of coconut shrimp, alice springs chicken for me (without the mushrooms), ribs for the others [msntongue]
Did we have a drink when we got back? Erm yes I think so. I love this lifestyle so much [beer]
Thursday 3rd
Another breakfast at home before my morning stroll, try to break into a jog but I didn’t bring my trainers so have to settle for a brisk walk. Decide that at this stage there is no point worrying about calories, exercise etc – I’ve already blown it and I’m on holiday. Clear blue skies all day today so surprise surprise we spent it by the pool with a Subway break at lunchtime.
Hit the shops at Sarasota Square tonight before eating at Ruby Tuesdays where we all had steak, some larger than others, with jacket potatoes, broccoli and garlic bread.
Spent ages in Books a Million, one of my Dad’s favourite shops, I love the way they have sofas scattered around and you are encouraged to read the books, the opposite to most of our book stores. Didn’t buy anything but had a mooch around in Albertsons, before going home and having a few glasses of whisky before bed, well it had to be drank before we move to Orlando on Saturday!
Friday 4th
Guess where we went for breakfast today?? Another long walk on the fabulous beach, not forgetting to dip our toes in the Gulf…
[sporty]
Another gloriously sunny day so a long laze around the pool before packing ready to move tomorrow.
Everywhere we tried for our meal was packed tonight, yes packed even in sleepy Sarasota – ended up back at the Red Lobster where we had a long wait but as usual it was worth it.
Finished the whisky when we got back and ate the cheddar biscuits we had brought home from RL
