Good Place for a Celebration?

Hi everyone,

only four weeks to go now, cant wait. We arrive very late on Friday 3rd September and so the Saturday has been put aside as a day to settle in, relax and find our feet. However it is my mother in laws birthday so i thought it would be nice to go somewhere special in the evening for a meal. We are staying in Aster Cove, Crescent Lakes and there will be a total of 5 adults and 2 kids.Can any of you guys suggest somewhere that fits the bill,

Hi Mack, I don't know anywhere as never been before, jetting off in 9 days time. It is my husbands birthday whilst we are there and we have got tickets for Cirque de Solei as a night out, (you may have already been but though it was worth a suggestion). Would be glad to hear of some nice restauraunt recommendations though. Hope you have a good time.

Hello Mack. I had a similar question from one of my guests, who wishes to celebrate an anniversary.
Obvious - go the the small town of Celebration, just off 192 and not too far to drive.
It has a very nice little shop/restaurant area by the lake and there are a number of places with seating overlooking the lake.

There are several possibilities. There are several DINNER SHOWS in Orlando / Kissimmee area and while most are good, the food itself tends to be mediocre at best. If you want to go to somewhere really nice and celebrate, somewhere like California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort would be great. With good tables, you would be able to watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks while eating. There are also other good restaurants like Fulton's Crab House, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze etc. But my personal preference for food & wine in all of Orlando & vicinity would be Chefs de France in Epcot, but I am not 100% sure if you can go there without using up a park entry. If you can, valet park your car at the Beach Club resort for $6 and stroll across the International Gateway into French pavilion. It is a real gastronomic treat.

If you like Dinner shows, my friend has just got back from Orlando and she and her family all went to the Makahiki Luau at Seaworld. My friend said it was the high point of their holiday.

Think of how you'll be feeling, the number in the party and will the place be quite or noisy.

Some places are good for large parties, some are noisy (exciting) others are nice and relaxing so with it being your mother in laws birthday maybe some compromise is needed; Though mine is a real party animal and can (and does)drink me under the table. Horses for courses sort of thing..

while we were there it was Tim's birthday, we celebrated by having bucks fizz and steak and eggs for Breakfast sitting by the pool !!!!

Is it possible to dine at a Disney resort hotel even though you are staying in a private villa? If so do you need reservations and who do you call to make them?
