Today Monday 4th of April 2005 i am off to Busch Gardens for the very first time and being a Lover of Thrill Rides and Animals i am really looking forward to this park.
After a drive of approx 75 minutes from Orlando we are there and ready to enjoy all that awaits us on another Beautiful hot and sunny day.
As we enter we are in Morroco but no time to waste so we head left for the giant wooden roller coaster Gwazi which you can see below.
This is the largest wooden roller coaster in Florida and reaches speeds of up to 50mph.
Similar to Duelling Dragons in the respect that there are 2 seperate tracks with both being different from one another.
This ride was great fun and worth the 25 minute wait which would have been shorter but for one of the tracks being closed due to a fault.
After departing Gwazi we head west to the Bird Gardens.
One of the lovely birds that were just walking around this area.
A few of the many parrots you can see here.
Another nice bird just mingling with the people.
Loads of beautiful Flamingos to be seen at various places in this park.
A closer look at a Flamingo.
Just another of the many creatures that you will see on your journey around Busch Gardens.
A couple of Eagles i think,just chilling.
Lots of amazing flower displays you will also see and this great park.
Another spectacular butterfly flower arrangement.
A few more birds just going about their daily routines.
After leaving the bird gardens we pass through Stanleyville where we see the soon to be opened SHEIKRAI roller coaster that looks very exciting.
Its opening in May 2005 so i just missed it by a few weeks but i will be back for sure to ride this 70mph monster which will be the tallest coaster in Florida at 200 feet and one of the longest anywhere at around 3 minutes in duration.
One of the 3 water based rides here is this one called Stanley Falls Log Plume.
Alas i never managed to ride any of them as i just ran out of time so again i will be back and next time i will get wet.
Time to enter the Congo where there are two coasters with the first the yellow beast known as Python.
Well ok its not exactly a beast,in fact its the tamest and shortest coaster at Busch, but is a good start for those who want to build up their courage up for the bigger faster ones to follow.
Ok so here we have one of the best coasters in Florida and my first sight of Kumba.
