My daughter has only ever suffered from asthma mildly but my husband is fairly chronice and we have found that neither of them have to use their inhalers very much when we are over there. My husband even drops the Becotide if we are there for 2/3 weeks and still finds he doesn't need the salbutamol no matter how humid the weather.

My son suffers from Astma, but When we are in Florida he never uses them. I don't suppose that applies to everyone. Better check out the website above.

Both of our children suffer and we are allways prepared but never had to use any of the inhalers while in Florida

My partner's son is asthmatic but he never uses his inhalers here. Would advise you bring them in any event.
My daughter spent a year in Florida as part of her university degree course, returning in January. Previous to that her asthma had been very bad and she needed medication to cope with it. Her final term before she left the UK was a real struggle, and she was frequently quite ill. We had to collect her from uni several times as her asthma was so severe, requiring steroids etc.
However, in the year that she spent in Florida she never needed to use anything, and she felt so healthy. It was quite amazing. She flies out again on Saturday for another 3 months.
We cannot explain it, but there must be something 'in the air'! Just wish we knew what, we could bottle it and make our fortune!
Hope you have the same experience, Fairy Cakes!

it's not what's in the air , it more like what isn't in the air.
i certainly didn't use my inhalers very much, and slept a lot better
My Son had a really bad year in 2004 He lost so much weight as he would not eat and the doctors had to pesuade him to drink sugary drinks(Cant buy them these days) As soon as we got to Florida he was off his inhalers and tried very hard to catch up on his years eating with all the burgers. He was so excited that he couldnt see his ribs anymore!
He is a different child out there to the one we have here so full of energy . Even the air- con doesnt seem to affect him.
We make sure that we dont accept pets though as that does make a big difference!
We will have to think about moving.
