We always take tea bags and a jar of coffee. I think you'll find every kind of cereal and then some in Walmart or Publix. [msnsmile2]

You can buy muesli and Coco Pops in Florida (Kelloggs is a US brand) so you could leave some room in your suitcase and buy them there? If you're desperate to take them anyway, muesli may be a bit of a problem if it has fruit in it.

Otherwise, those should be fine but remember to put them on your Customs form as you don't want to find yourself in the situation of being singled out by the sniffer dogs and not having declared your food.

Kelloggs cereals are not the same in the US because they tend to add a lot more sugar. Anybody who has tasted the Special K over there will know what I mean. I don't know about Coco Pops.

Same problem with Muesli - I take it every time I go (and it contains both nuts and dried fruit). I used to 'declare' it but was told by US Immigration some time ago that it wasn't necessary. I've never had a problem.

They are very strict with bringing food into the US. You can buy most of it from the local store anyway.

things like tea and coffee we take in our baggage.

Declare every kind of food on the customs form always including baby food! We take weetabix for our little one as I have not found that there yet. Everything else is widely available and supermarket shopping is quite an experience with so much to choose from.....

The Publix supermarket at Champions Gate has a very choice of British foods, but they are a bit expensive.

Have to agree about the cereals, gave up in the end as they just didn't taste the same.

I always take teabags with me.

I took crunchy nut cornflakes , two packs of the kelloggs variety packs , biscuits and teabags, I declared them and had no problems.
