    Rv Parking

Wanting to rent a villa in the Orlando area and was told most areas have covenants that do not allow RV parking. Wondering if there was a parking lot or Walmart that allows RV parking and we would rent a van? Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I would not want to spend my holiday living in Wal*Mart carpark, not sure I would feel happy with people coming and going at all hours keeping me awake.

IMO villa Owners don't allow RVs as it is against most communities rules. Plus with RV;s, generically speaking of course, tons of people can turn up and live off the villa power and water, so a house sleeping 8 suddenly is catering for 14 plus all the wear and tear as you can bet the house will be more comfortable than the rv so everyone will be indoors. RV's dont have pools either. [msncool]

I am not looking to sleep in the RV. Just a place to PARK it. We are 4 MN families, with 4 people in each, looking at a 7 br villa. We are driving down and want a place to park the RV. Not trying to cheat anyone & bring 30 people to live off the power and water provided.I understand the covenants, we have them here too. Just looking for an affordable means of transportation to get there.

The new Walmart at Cagan's Crossing where the 27 meets the 192 had a number of RV's parked up there last winter.

I wasn't sure if it was Snowbirds who were working in the store or just visitors

H27 has two or three RV parks close to Southern Dunes.

Gotcha! You are going to park up and hire something to get around whilst in Florida. Not insinuating you are going to hook up to anyones supplies[:I] (It has happened all to often in the past though).

I always think it is amazing to see the huge Coach like RV's towing minibuses, we just don't see that back home[msnsmile2].

Just remembered there is an RV park on the CR54 and there are many villa communiteis on the CR54. I am not sure if you can take a temporary pitch. It is called somethign like Rainbow RV Park.

By the way, I should have said this first, welcome to the forum.

    Welcome to the forum!

You're right to think that most communities (or perhaps all of them?) don't allow RV parking.

I think you'll find that most Wal-Marts have RVs parked in their car park or there are specific RV campgrounds of course where one could be left safely.

There's a large campground behind RV World on Highway 192 or, if you ask nicely, you may be able to just park your RV in their car park and perhaps not have to pay campground fees as no-one will be staying in the RV?

There's also a large RV rental facility on Orange Blossom Trail which I think is called Camp USA 2915 N. Orange Blossom Tr. Kissimmee, FL 34744 800-671-8707 where you could also ask if you could park.

Can you hitch up at least one vehicle to the rear of the RV as you're unlikely to be able to rent a vehicle which holds 16 people and that would, at least, give you one vehicle and then one to rent?

I read somewhere that the Publix on the 192 let you park your RV there but I would ask first. The publix I am talking about is the one heading to the 27.
