    i saw someone wanted info on vista park so tapped into google and got this page, if anyone is interested in other recreational parks, dont know if its up to date tho

    Orange County parks

    Barber Park -- Located in Orange County, Barber Park's 66 acres provides visitors with picnic areas complete with grilles, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, ball fields, basketball courts, and fishing areas. There are no admission costs and leashed pets are welcome. The park is located south of Michigan Street between Conway Road and Dixie Belle on Gatlin Avenue and open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information contact 3701 Gatlin Ave. Orlando, Fla. 32812 or call (407) 249-6102 (fax: 407-249-6109).

    Barnett Park -- Barnett Park's 124 acres offers Orange County a variety of facilities. The park, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, holds two league-play softball fields, an 18-hole frisbee disc golf course, rental pavilions, picnic areas with grilles, recreational programs, tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball courts, fishing areas, and boat ramps. The rental pavilions are available for $50 per day for up to 100 people. The park is located on West Colonial Drive adjacent to the Central Florida Fairgrounds. For more information contact 4801 W.     Bear Creek Ball fields -- Bear Creek Ball fields' 37 acres provides multiple baseball and softball fields in addition to organized league play. The area is often a location for special community events. The ball fields are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the public and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday for leagues. Leashed pets are welcome. Bear Creek is located south of the BeeLine Expressway on South Orange Avenue adjacent to Cypress Creek High School.     Bithlo Community Park -- Bithlo Community Park's 38 acres provides visitors with several Little League ball fields, covered basketball courts, picnic areas with grilles, recreational programs, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, a community center, and pavilions. Leashed pets are welcome. Bithlo Community Park is located north of Colonial Drive on Washington Avenue, and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, write 18501 Washington Avenue Orlando, Fla. 32820.



    Blanchard Park, in Orlando, offers many recreational programs and facilities.

    Blanchard Park Recreational Area -- Blanchard Park, spanning 135 acres in the Orlando area, offers many recreational programs and facilities to its visitors. The park has ball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic areas with grilles, equestrian trails, basketball courts, fishing areas, biking and hiking trails, skating and rollerblading areas, campsites, and sand volleyball courts. Pavilions are also available for rent. The Pavilions are available for $50 per day for up to 100 people. Leashed pets are wlecome as well. The park is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and entrance to the park is free. The park is located one-mile north of East Colonial Drive on Dean Road.     Cady Way Trail -- Cady Way Trail, a 3.5-mile paved corridor which links Winter Park and Orlando, offers water fountains, sheltered rest stops and-mile markers. The trail is open from sunrise to sunset, year round. Visitors to Cady Way Trail enjoy walking, biking, and skating. Playgrounds are also found adjacent to the trail. The most popular aspect of the Cady Way Trail is the public swimming pool that marks the end of the trail. The pool is open 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. There is a $3 entrance fee into the swimming area. Cady Way is located one-quarter-mile north of Colonial Drive on Herndon Avenue, adjacent to the Post Office. For more information, call (407) 836-6200.

    Yes Liesa, it is very informative, it was a lighthearted comment re the amount of info re recreational parks whereas the original enquiry was about Vistapark the VILLA Community[msnwink][msnwink]
