restaurants near Highland reserve

Were visiting Orlando in early June and staying in a vacation home in Highlands Reserve. We were wondering what restaurants are right there nearby? This includes fast food restaurants, and dine in restaurants. We have no idea what to plan for right now. SO if someone could be so kind...this would help us out very much.

Hi, about 1/2 a mile away you have Berry Town Center and it has the folowing: pizza & chinese takeaway and also has a Publix grocery store. There is also a hairdressers and beauticians, in which my wife pays a visit to every time we go.

About 3-4 miles North of the 27 there is a Walmart (Cagans Crossing). About 3-4 miles down the 192 there are lots of restaurants, there some on the way to the main lot at Formosa Gardens.

There are a number of Publix both on the 27 and 192.

There is also an Indian Restaurant very near to Highlands Reserve. I forget the name but if you come out of Highlands Reserve and turn left onto the US 27 it is on the left hand side only a minute or two drive by the entrance to Esprit (Polo PARk), before you get to the junction where the 27 meets the 192.

Normally I don't care much for Indian food, but I really enjoyed my meal there. I would say it is the best Indian around!

Hi Kasey,

Both the pizza place and the chinese next to Highlands are great. Try the sesame chicken from the chinese. Mmmmmmm. There's a Cracker Barrel about 2 miles south on 27 (turn right out of the main entrance for 27 south). Another favourite of ours is JT's Diner. From the HR main exit turn left onto 27 (heading north) and go about 3-4 minutes to the 192 turn-off. Turn off onto 192 and JT's is a couple of miles down 192 on your left.

If you head south on 27 (right out of the main entrance) there is every type of fast food going about 5 minues south just before you get to the I-4 intersection. As an alternative, try the subs from Publix. In my opinion they put the regular fast food outlets to shame. They taste delicious and they're more healthy to boot. If you want a really quick and easy meal back at the villa have a mooch around the deli counter at Publix. Grab a chicken, some potato salad, some fresh bread and whatever else takes your fancy and just rip it up alfresco by the pool. Best washed down with a couple of glasses of chilled Napa Valley Chardonnay.
