    Thanksgiving

I know that the parks are supposed to be really busy on Thanksgiving, the restaurants are generally full but the shops are shut. What will the roads be like? Will they be really busy with the extra park tourists or is it not as noticeable as the shops are shut?

Also, what is the general atmosphere like in the run up to Thanksgiving?

    Thanks

Cant comment on Thanks Giving but if it anything like Christmas Day then IMHO the roads are no busier than a normal day.
Would expect the roads around the parks to be busy.

We are there most years about this time and my view is that the roads are quite as all the normal traffic is missing. Parks are busy but not as bad as Xmas or Easter.

The real problem is the next day as this is the start of the silly sales day. Expect all the Malls to have queues for the car parks let alone the shops.

There's no real 'run up' to Thanksgiving. Except, maybe, people travelling to be with family. It's a 'one day' holiday. No Thanksgiving eve, or Thanksgiving Boxing Day.

It's usually quiet on the roads. Reaturants tend to be busy. The parks are busy. If anything it's the start to the run up torwards Christmas. The tourist attractions slowly get busier. Flights get busier.

As an ex Brit living here, I love Thanksgiving. It's a time that families get together. No gifts are exchanged. We just eat!

We were there last Thanks Giving and the roads were quiet!

We will also be there this year too at the same time!
