Sunday 22nd-- universal and Islands today, bought the 2 park 1 day pass and upgraded to the Halloween Horror Night.
We started with the Hulk coaster ,no queues other than for the front row, then round to Spiderman. Spiderman was in the gift shop and posed on the counter with my daughters.
There was about a 10min wait for Duelling Dragons, looked like there might have been a problem as the Dragons were out of sync.We rode 'Ice' and 'Fire' hadn't loaded passengers, still a great coaster though.Managed to get through the afternoon without sibling rivalry[msnsmile].Headed over to Universal to be in before 5p.m. as the park was closing till 7.30 but if you had Horror Night tickets you were allowed to stay in the holding areas, whch was fine with us as it was the irish pub opposite the Mummy ride.At 6.30 the barriers were removed and we could begin the Horror night experience. I thought it was better than Howl-O-scream at Busch Gardens. The downside was the wait time for the haunted zones/houses, some were almost 2 hours. We decided to call it a day round 11p.m. I had worn three quarter length shorts and whilst getting back into the van I noticed both my ankles and above were bright red and blotchy, urgh,n pain,no itching,no nothing just red.We called at Walgreens and the pharmasists said it looked like an allergic reaction to bug bites--lovely--She recommended medication in spray form to be used every 3 hrs.
Monday--Heard one of the kids up,looked at the clock 6.am [?]They had set their phone alarm so they could be up to use the laptop and go on msn to talk to friends.Went over to Internation Drive,1st stop Ripleys Belive it or Not.Some of the exhibits were a bit odd but on the whole not too bad.Short drive to the Titanic exhibition, we didnt opt for the tour but walked around on our own, which we found it easy to negotiate around.A very interesting place, shame the grand staircase is roped off but still got plenty of photos.Your tickets have the name of a genuine passenger and a bit of info about them. The pic is of my son and daughter searching the passenger list for their ticket name.
We really enjoyed this exhibition but younger kids might find it boring.
Next came Wonderworks, this is better for younger kids, although whilst were we there the place was being re-painted.The painters were working whilst people were in the building so it was a bit of a pain watching what you leant against as some of the walls were wet.Last year also went in LaserQuest which was on an upper floor but this year they had moved it to the basement.
Ended the day with a game of Crazy Golf, then back to the villa for some chillin' and swimming.
