    Renting from U.S. villa owner

We have found a lovely villa to rent off this site. The owner is from the U.S. I was wondering how do I go about sending a deposit, and then the balance,as the quote was in dollars. The owner has said bank money order or bank check, or bank transfer from my account to theirs. We have always in the past rented from U.K owners. Please could anyone advise me which is the best way to go about this.Thanks.

it is straight forward really you can pay by credit card, send them a check, bank transfer. I am in the uk but I now only accept payment in dollars most people to abank transfer from their uk account to my us account, most straight forward thing to do.

    hope this helps

There should be no problems I think the easiest way is by credit card if that is possible

Pay the deposit by credit card (you may get charged a fee) then depending when your booking is for, pay by a different method that suits you.

I prefer to take payment in dollars like Berni says a bank transfer is easy to do.

Have a word with them and they will give you full instructions of how to go about it all. I am sure they will be very helpful and talk you through it.

I would also like my guests to use this method of payment but am a bit puzzled. How does this work without someone incurring a fee for the transfer?

    Thanks.

Well, if you set up an account with xe.com, it will be no fee to send money. But setting up an account will takes lots of time. So the best way is that pay credit card through paypal and then set up xe.com .
