    Childrens car seats

    Hi everyone.

Can anyone tell me what the laws are on child car seats in Florida..?
    My children are 10, 7 & 3 yrs old.

Here in the UK, my 7 yr old uses a booster seat & my 3yr old has a standard childs car seat & my 10 yr old does not need one.

Will they all need a car childs car seat in Florida..?

How much extra are they to hire..?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin

All children 5 years of age or younger must be properly restrained no matter where they are sitting in the vehicle. Children through age 3 must be secured in a separate car seat or a vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate car seat, an integrated child seat, or a safety belt may be used. (FL Statute 316.613).

Personally our 7 and 3 year olds use a booster seat all the time when we are in Florida. We take them with us or you can buy them from Walmart for about $15-$20

The answer is here on a previous thread. http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_28353.asp

It depends on what height/weight your children are, as well as their age, when you go to Florida.
