we use the brits guide,we find it very useful and easy to read.however if you want a book that is more tec in how the ride works ie a stop and start ride or a continous loader ride and how this affects the queue then Bob Sehlinger books are good to read.I always get a library copy first then buy.
We usually get ours from Amazon.co.uk
There's plenty of choice.
A couple we like are
Birnbaum's Walt Disney Guide Book
Hidden Mickey's book for the parks too
Andrew & Diane Moore
I get all my good advice from this forum. Completely invaluable, how many books tell you where to go, where to eat, what the weather is like right now, where to go for the best bargains, exactly what the place you are staying at is like and its amenties, what flights are like with different airlines and where to go for the best deal on these flights.

That is a lovely thing to say and I'm sure everyone who contributes will appreciate your comments.

My article on guide books should be published here shortly. I too can recommend a Brit's guide, the authors are passionate about it and spend incredible amounts of time updating it each year. It is invaluable for the Orlando area but sadly not available in the USA yet (try Amazon), due apparently to Disney copyright reasons.
If you want a more general guide to Florida but still with tons of info on the Orlando area and its attractions, then ‘Florida’ from the DK Eyewitness Travel series is brilliant. It is beautifully illustrated and also has information on all manner of things including wildlife, the climate and history of the state. We found it particularly useful for exploring Ybor City in Tampa and the art deco district of Miami South Beach.
A quick flick through a guide book ensures you don't miss anything you'd later regret not seeing! Trouble is there's too much to see and do it's impossible to fit it all into one visit, which is why I guess people keep coming backHave a great time!
