I think the air bags are made by JML and are also for sale in Wilkinsons.

I envy all you people that are going soon. We have to wait unil May 2008. I won't tell you how many sleeps that is

Virgin baggage allowance is 23k, so is Continental and United - we were weighed BEFORE we checked in at Orlando International and they were charging a flat rate excess baggage charge on anything over 23k -I have not experienced this before and we visit our villa approx 4 times a year. I believe most airlines now have this low baggage limit. BA, despite all the furore, are still allowing 32k per bag, and 2 bags per person to the US until September.

I would suggest you check with your airline, Carrie, as it is a simple job to pack an extra folding bag (or two!)for use on the way home if you haven't all used up your luggage allowance on the way over (and I guess you wouldn't) If you take a spare bag with you it could save you a lot of money.

Re the space bags I'd wait until you get there as Walmart does a pack of 2 medium for $9.99 and sometimes they also contain a couple of free roll up suitcase ones.

We are going over first two weeks of March so I can confirm the latest price of these bags on my return.

The space bags can be found in the "Hoover aisle" and are normally near the display of vacumn cleaners. With the current exchange rate definately better value if you buy there.

The travel bags are also in the travel section nearby to the suitcases, they are $12.99 for two large and two small.

Got my "US suitcase" out of the spare wardrobe yesterday but found that it has seen better days. Its one of the rolling tote bags that I bought several years ago in the Flea Market on the 192. Found that the four wheels where crooked and the wheel housing was cracked still used it for quite a few trips so definately worth the $20 I paid for it. May buy another when I'm out there depends on what I buy[msnwink]

At the moment I have a small suitcase with clothes in (enough for first two days) and a large holdall with beach towels spare holdalls bubble wrap. In the two end pockets are travel and suction space bags ready for all my purchases (I really live up to my name).

We stay near the Walmart on the 192/Bass Road so we use the flea market close by. They do a holdall which is the size of a 28" suitcase ($9.99)and it's the perfect size for the medium space bags. I fit quite a lot in there around 8 to 10 and the weight is perfect works out around 28kgs but then we do fly premium economy. If you have children I'm sure the weight could be kept down by packing it out with the stuffed toys (space bagged of course) These bags fold flat so are perfect for taking back for your next trip. They do not have a base so I get a flat pack cardboard box kit from Dollartree to fit in the bottom.

The holdall I'm packing now cost around $15 30" by 14" two end pockets and ones at the front. I've bought various ones over the years but these I've found work out best for me. You can find a large selection of cases and holdalls there in all shapes and sizes and if you wait till near the end of your stay you'll have more of an idea of the size you will need.
