    Glasgow-orlando december 07

    Hey everyone

I posted last week regarding flying from glasgow-orlando, december 07.

I had mainly been considering fly with globespan since it was handy for me. However in the last month the quote has went up by £400. Coupled with their bad reviews, im reluctant to go with them, even though glasgow airport is a mile from my house.

Ive since discovered that aer lingus go from dublin to orlando MCO. Anyone travelled to orlando with them before?

Id be looking to go GLA->DUB->MCO. All in it comes in less than the globespan flight.

Since i would be arriving at mco, does this mean i would be eligible for dinsey magical express to the resort? (Im staying in disney this time)

    Any comments greatly appreciated.

Oh, and one other daft question. Is aerlingus dublin to orlando, a charter or scheduled flight? and what are the difference between the two?

Not sure about the flight info but as for Magical Express it is my understanding that if you fly into MCO and are staying at a Disney Resort you do qualify for it.

I would not go with Globespan. They have started cancelling flights for Sept as they are not filling their planes. Went last NOv with they and had 9 hr delay on way out and smaller plane on way back. We usually go with Continental via Newark when going out to our villa during the winter season. You could try them.
I have flewn with Aer Lingus to JFK and their plane and flight was very good. I think they class themselves as a scheduled airline. The only thing that puts me off using Aer Lingus is the waiting time at dublin on the way home.

Were do you stay , I live in Renfrew.

We went Business Class with Globespan last December, excellent service and flights on schedule. I travelled again with them last week in economy class (last minute flight) to close on our property and again flights were on schedule and no complaints about the service - apart from Business Class is the best!!
We're booked up to go with them again in August and December.

    Thanks for the advice folfs.

Basically this is the timetable of the flights i would be looking to book.

    Depart glasgow 0755
    Arrive dublin 0850
    Depart dublin (to MCO) 1200

Do you think that three hours in ok between flights. Aer lingus say this is fine, but im slightly hesitant. Accounting for possible delays and such like.

On thw way back I have 7 hours between landing at dublin and leaving to go back to glasgow.

Twany, what did you mean by the waiting time at dublin on the way home? I live in paisley by the way.
