I have asthma as well and never found it aproblem in the heat and no problem getting my medicine through airport. Walgreens are very good for medicines and advice. Perkins Family Restaurant is a really good bet for value and they are now alcohol free.

Not sure which airline you will be travelling with but it is always useful to let them know that there is a health problem as they advise their cabin staff who can help if there are any difficulties.

Regarding medication, my own experience with my son is to have the medication in the same packaging from the chemist so that they can see it is the prescribed medication for that person.

I'd advise you to check with your airline for the latest info, they probably have a website with the info. It really wont be a problem. I personally wouldn't put anything into my hold luggage in case the bag goes astray.

For eating suggestions there is a dedicated section on this forum. We usually eat breakfast at home but when travelling we enjoy Cracker Barrel, they are very olde American with rocking chairs on the porch and a store to tempt you, or Perkins is good. Both of these have restaurants just about everywhere, Google for actual locations.

    Have a brilliant time.

Me neither - I guess it depends what causes the asthma but mine is always so much better in Florida I wish I could live there permanently.

I always keep inhalers and repeat prescription in a seperate bag in my hand luggage and security have never asked to see them.

At one time I did loose one on the flight over and had to go to a walk-in clinic but managed to replace it with exactly the same type.
