    Craft superstores

Do any fans of Michael's or Jo-Ann's happen to know if they do any demos/teach any of the crafts in-store? If so, how are they publicised?

When I lived in Canada, I took a few Calligraphy classes in my local Michael's and really enjoyed it. Have never found the time or a suitable class since coming back to UK. I would love to have a go at card making, s[bad language filtered out]booking, etc, to complement the calligraphy.

    Thanks.

Michaels do still have them. March they have Wilton cake decorating but I hink they may vary depending on staff available. They usually have a list of them in the local store.

Last time we were over they had a big white board in the craft teaching area listing all the time slots and what was happening each day.

I would guess that each store is different and you would need to call or go into your local store to see what they had running.

If you know where your staying then it's fairly easy to give you details of your local store.

Sign up to the website, they may have dates and times on there. You will also get news of any sales and receive money off vouchers via email.[msnsmile]

If you don't get what you want there you can always try some demos over here. If you register with do crafts they will send you info of demos in your area which are free. This is usually card making. Never been to 1 so don't know what they are like. The craft shows such as the NEC have demos; or try your local craft shop. For s[bad language filtered out] booking you can have a Creative Memories party (on the same lines as Tupperware) and you do a s[bad language filtered out] book page. Leave plenty of time for Jo-annes and Michaels and lots of luggage space![msnembarrased]And s[bad language filtered out]booking is very, very addictive!
