Can anyone recommend a reputable fishing charter out of Tampa? Want to get out on the big water and hook into some big Tarpon.

It does not have to be out of Tampa. It is just that we were hoping to get onto some Tarpon on our next visit and Tampa looked like the closest venue to do so?

Andy'
some really big Tarpon run off the barrier islands around the Sanibel/Captiva Area, if you're interested I'll dig out some Captains names I've got lying around. It takes me around 21/2 hrs from Orlando - Sanibel ( or why not stay overnight & get out on the water real early?[msnwink]

Kevin,
Names /phone numbers would be great. If you know of web pages for them that would be even better. Thanks for any help!![]()

I think I read that the best fishing for Tarpon is off Boca Grande which is right next door to Cape Haze, Rotunda, Englewood. Why not put a general enquiry out to the Gulf coast homes on this site as they may have availability so you can stay locally![]()

Thanks everyone for the info. Am looking forward to an awesome outing on our next journey south! For now, I am off to the north woods (Lake of the Woods) of Minnesota for some end of season walleye and jumbo perch ice fishing. It just doesn't get any better than this! [msnwink]
