Groupon recently floated on the stock market and seemed to do quite well, although, it also seems like a lot of people are standing around scratching their heads and wondering why. The company has never made a profit and there is mixed feedback from the businesses that use it. In saying that, we've used it and it was all fine. In fact we also used a similar style site and when we went to use the company it was bust, I wonder if they realised that they were swamped with people wanting their services for 65% off then they wouldn't be in business anyway. Not a problem, though, as they have their no jibble guarantee, so we got refunded straight away.
