Thong beaches near Orlando

My girlfriend and I will be vacationing in Orlando. She wants to wear a thong. Is this allowed/common at the beaches in or near Orlando?

Welcome to the forum.

Generally, Florida is rather a 'prudish' state where ****** and scanty dressing in public, especially in front of children, is frowned upon. If the locals are upset by tourists showing too much, they usually call the Police!

It really depends on which beach you're going to and what the local bye-laws are but, in general, dress that shows too much is a no go area in much the same way as going topless.

By all means tell her to take her thong(s) with her but be prepared and take some alternative items to wear.
