Check the post I did on this under "other things to do" area (that's not the exact title, but search on "spa" in the search section on the toolbox above and you'll find it). Someone recommended Gaylord Palms resort (I think that's the name, it's in the post) which I will try in April and will report back to you all on it. Looks great.
Grand Floridian resort thas a spa but it has gone down in rank lately.

If you want somewhere nowhere far more basic there is a hairdressers in Formosa Gardens Shopping Plaza that does manicures, pedicures, waxing, bronzing (!) etc - but not massages from what I recall. Irenes.

What a pity my UK massage and aromatherapy qualifications are not recognised in Florida as there is obviously a gap in the market

MassageWorks in Kissimmee are good. They will also come out to any villa and do the treatments there for you (except for treatments that involve big items of equipment).

Imagine a relaxing facial or body massage by the pool!!

One of my guests booked this for himself and his wife and they were so impressed that they booked the masseuse again for another session. It was only a few dollars more for her to come to the villa, rather than the guest going to the Salon. The hairdresser and nail person will also come to the villa if required.

There are alot of day spas in Orlando (and many around Disney), but Id prefer to not go unless someone has been and can share their good experience. Spas (esp. massages for me) are one of those htings that can be great or awful, and I just don't want to risk awful on vacation. Grand Floridian has consistently awful (really awful) reviews on tripadvisor.com, and I use that site alot for reviews of services like this. Ritz Carlton has a great spa but it is expensive like Cayon Ranch at Gaylord.

In Orlando's top 10 spa vote taken by Citysearch magazine, the Canyon Ranch spa got 1st place (this is the one at Gaylord Palms). I agree that $110 is alot for a 50 min. massage. I pay $60 for that at home. However, the Grand Floridian got 2nd place, and I don't trust that after the other bad reviews. DIsney's Animal Kingdon Lodge got #3. The rest in order are: 4, Pappillon Spa at Westgate Lakes; 5, Beauti-Works; #6 Greenhouse spa; 7, the EO INN; 8, Alta Moda Salon and Spa; 9 Pierre Day spa; 10, Salon Cielo and Spa at Millenia Mall. There are addreses listed in the list, but i don't have any idea where these are. The list is at: http://orlando.citysearch.com/best/results/8552/
There are links to the spas websites in the article.

The editors listed their top 3 picks separately; Canyon Ranch first, then Pierre and Salon Cielo at Millenia. I am particularly interested in Pierre, as their website says $60 for 50 min spa, and it is on both lists. It is at 2116 Edgewater Dr-- anyone know where that is? There is a small map on there site but it doesn't help me. #3 was Salon Cielo at Millenia, but their site says $110 for 50 min massage.

Any advice on where Pierre is? $60 is a good rate for a spa that is on both lists...

Sorry for the long wind, but this topic has not been explored on this site so thought it could be helpful to others.

If that was just for a manicure and nail polish, it seems expensive. I pay less than that for a manicure and a pedicure. Maybe I am just a cheapskate...
