Went to Orlandos inaugural MLS game last night.
I'm no soccer fan but I think I knew more about the game than the 62000 Orlando supporters who were there![]
great experience though, worth it just for the atmosphere.

Yes we were there too. We went to watch Seb Hines who has signed for them on loan from our team Boro. Massive crowd, wasn't a great game but as you say great experience & glad we were there for the inaugural match.

We went to support the sky blues because of their affiliation to my hubby's beloved MCFC.
As you say, the football was like watching paint dry, but the crowd were amazing. Where in English football could two "away" fans sit amongst tens of thousands of home team supporters and not get verbally or even physically abused?
when NYFC scored we jumped up and cheered and all the Orlando fans laughed and clapped us on the back!
it will be interesting to see if they get those sort of numbers at their next home game, we have heard it is going to be limited to 20,000 as they can't cope regularly with a crowd of that size hence the chaos around the stadium when trying to get parked.
I was listening to a couple of blokes talking about this game on the radio the day after... They couldn't understand why there wasn't a winner at the end of the game.. "why didn't they have a penalty shoot-out or extra time". It will take time for die-hard nfl/mlb/nba fans to get their heads around it.
I will have to buy the Orlando shirt when were next over at the villa, support your local team I say
