I take at least 8 but normally 15, (thick Skinned) Sarah takes a 25, and make sure it's water proof if your going to the water parks. [8D]
Hi Katty
I never use anything less than SPF15 on myself.
My children have SPF25 plus. We always use the waterproof type.
Oh, and we always come home with a good tan.
Have a great time!

Hi Katty,
My advice is to buy your sun tan lotion from a supermarket etc. when there.
I was told on a previous holiday that there is more oil in English lotions, which seperates from the water in the Florida sun and I was burnt badly when this happened at a water park, even though I regularly applied lotion.
I found Panama Jack to be good quality and a good price, but you can't really go wrong as long as you buy the cream when there.
You can even buy sun lotion and a tanning oil to apply over the top, achieve a tan without burning!! I have purchased this in the Panama Jack range.
Hope this helps you.

As Chrisj has said. Buy it out there. Good brands at very good prices.
Chris
Do you ever take those sun glasses off?
We normally use a SPF of at least 25-30 here in California and when we are in Florida.
I recommend Coppertone Sport Ultra Sweatproof with SPF of 30 (blue bottle).
I have tried the Coppertone Waterbabies with SPF of 45 (pink bottle), but find that this stings if it gets into eyes. Stinging eyes does not help persuade a 3yr old that he must have sun block on! When we have to do this everyday in spring/summer/early fall I can't deal with having a little one that throws a fit when I need to put the sunblock on. And no matter how hard you try, they will always get some into their eyes...

Florida sun is so intense. We use not only the waterproof kind, but I used to be able to get one in Florida that was "for lifeguards", it's the most water proof of all of them. I haven't seen that ina few yrs there, so now we use "Hawaaian Tropic 45 Plus All Day Waterproof" (white bottle w/orange top). With that one, we never have to reapply it, even if we are in the pool or at the beach in the waves. It is a litle thick, but does rub in after awhile. My kids like the new Sea and Ski Foam All Day SPF 30 (round bright teal green can), which is a foam that goes straight in the skin (some sort of intradermal technology so it really penetrates right away) for up to 8 hr protection, is completely non-greasy, and is VERY waterproof even though it is foam (beacuse it gets into the skin layers so fast).
As you can tell, my family is BIG into sunscreen, as my husband has had skin cancer removed.
