    Best beaches -

Can anyone recommend some beaches to visit during our vacation in april? We will be taking day trips from Orlando so maybe Clearwater or Coco beach? Maybe somewhere we can snorkel as well.

    thanks in advance.

We swear by Cocoa Beach, just across the street from Ron Jon's. Great beach with a few good bars for lunch. Also we found a quiet beach in Melbourne which was nice. If you want no one else around this would be ideal. Snorkeling probably the Gulf Coast would be best. Have fun.

Do any of these beaches cater for kite surfing as this is my hubbies main interest in life.

    Hi Dave
Cocoa beach was great but difficult for parking - there is a carpark near the pier but we found it was always full - but if you go to Ron Jons you can park in their carpark and the beach is just over the way. Ron Jon's is our favourite too - could buy the whole shop

    Hi,
We love the beach at Clearwater[8D]
on nearby beaches you can go shell picking
and we have seen dolphins playing within 50 yds of
    the beach.

Dave, there is no comparison to the gulf coast beaches. Clearwater is really gorgeous and also Longboat Key. Cocoa is simply not in their league. Also make sure you put Ft Myers Beach on the list.

don't forget the Bahamas....just 100 miles east of the coast.Various ferries cruse ships do the trip.Disneys ship is fantastic but pricy and it only takes you mainly to their own island.A REALLY great trip for british folks (as you have travelled majority of the way)is chalks airways out of fort lauderdale to nassua beach.($98 each way)the plane is a grumand sea plane which lands in the sea right next to paradise island. If you could find it in yourself to give up a few park tickets you might find it in the budget. If any one tries it let me know how you enjoyed it(or not)i persuaded a few of our guests to do a wekend and they could not stop talking about it(it could of also been the $500 they lost in the casino)

We were going to try Fort De Soto beach at Easter on the gulf coast, we like a quiet beach without lots of shops so it looked good, anyone else been there?

This was a website that was suggested to us:
